RADIRU RADIRU is NHK's official app that offers live streaming of radio broadcasts over the Internet. Additionally, users can listen to archived programs. The app allows for convenient access to NHK radio programs during commutes, at any time, and from anywhere.

RADIRU RADIRU is compatible with smartphones and tablets running Android OS 5.0 or later. While the service is free of charge, users are strongly advised to opt for a flat-rate data plan.

The app provides live streaming options for 8 local area programs:

• Hokkaido prefecture on Radio 1 and FM
• Miyagi prefecture on Radio 1 and FM
• Kanto area on Radio 1 and Tokyo area on FM
• Chukyo area on Radio 1 and Nagoya area on FM
• Kansai area on Radio 1 and Osaka area on FM
• Hiroshima prefecture on Radio 1 and FM
• Ehime prefecture on Radio 1 and FM
• Fukuoka prefecture on Radio 1 and FM

Radio 2 offers nationwide programs for listeners. RADIRU RADIRU also features on-demand content, allowing users to access past broadcasts. Some programs may require listening via the linked program website.

It's important to note that all programs are geo-blocked and can only be accessed within Japan based on the user's IP address. Additionally, program availability may be affected by internet connection quality. Live streaming does not include time signals or Earthquake Early Warnings to account for potential delays. Certain programs may be unavailable due to copyright restrictions.
